Remy Tumin is an award winning journalist who has covered everything from small town politics to presidential visits, food and agriculture to critical housing shortages. A born and raised New Yorker, she joined The New York Times in 2016, where she is now a reporter.

Her work has been featured in The Times, Cherry Bombe, Yahoo and Brooklyn Magazine. Remy got her start as a general assignment reporter on Martha’s Vineyard, where her work for the Vineyard Gazette was recognized multiple times by the New England Newspaper and Press Association. She was also an assistant editor of Edible Vineyard, a quarterly food magazine.

She has a keen interest in all things epicurean and finding the nearest dance floor.
